September 2007 Press Release Sunday, September 9, at 1pm: Audition for Youth Tap EnsembleDrika Overton is launching a Youth Tap Ensemble that will receive professional training and performance opportunities. Auditions for intermediate to advanced tap dancers between the ages of 13-20 years old will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 1pm at the SPACE, 2 Government St., Kittery ME.Drika co-directed the Youth Jazz Dance Project, which performed at the annual Portsmouth Percussive Dance Festival; in Clara's Dream a jazz nutcracker, and other productions at the Music Hall in Portsmouth; at Prescott Park Arts Festival; the NH Governor's Arts Awards ceremony; the New York City Tap Festival; corporate events and more. In addition to the weekly company classes with Overton, the dancers will receive training from other professional dancers in the field, and have performance opportunities throughout the region.
